Job description

The Floow is looking for a Product Designer (UX-UI) to join our expanding Product Design Team. Within a cross-functional Product team, you’ll work closely with a product manager, mobile and web engineers, data scientists, and more. Together with your colleagues, you’ll help drive the design process and shape a shared understanding of the problem space.

This role is based in the UK (Sheffield) with a flexible, remote working policy.

A great eye for UI design, UX skills, an understanding of how to sketch, wireframe, test, and iterate designs and ideas in a lean way is crucial. You are an advocate for design and end-users, are passionate about sharing your knowledge, raising the bar for design excellence and embrace a fast-paced working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and run user research sessions, workshops and learn from previous insights and data reports so you understand the what, why and how of the problems you’re solving for
  • Create and handoff design assets, prototypes and design documentation for web and mobile, ensuring the product team fully understands the design requirements for upcoming sprints
  • Collaborate closely with clients and colleagues, executing high quality, intuitive and accessible user experiences, in accordance with an iterative design and development process
  • Contribute to the quality and timely delivery of projects and products; manage the quality of your own work, in order to ensure the best product is delivered within the specified time frame
  • Bring a human-centred approach to solving complex problems and turning them into simple solutions, which you’re then able to communicate clearly and concisely through visual or written communication

Requirements

  • Extensive work experience as a Product Designer (UX/UI) in a technology company or digital agency
  • Ability to align people to foster empathy with the user and focus on goals
  • Strong collaborator and communicator
  • Expert in design strategy and design systems
  • Extremely proficient in interaction and user interface design, and in using design and prototyping software (e.g. Sketch, Marvel)
  • Experience in managing the end-to-end design process, including the writing of handoff documentation and design specifications to developers
  • Experience in using analytics to identify where research is needed and analyse existing data to inform product decisions and strategy
  • Experience in designing iOS and Android app experiences from start to finish utilising Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design
  • Ability to run workshops, lead design sprints and remote collaboration sessions with cross-functional groups
  • An excellent online portfolio showcasing UX, UI and visual design work for mobile and web
