Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager to help us build and release winning insurance telematics products to the market.

Insurance telematics is an emerging industry where the ability to craft exquisite, digital, user-facing products creates competitive advantage for our clients.

You will be a core member of our Product team, and you will have end-to-end responsibility for your product scope. You’ll have to perform a variety of duties, including: writing and prioritising User Stories,  defining Acceptance Criteria, working with Engineering and UI/UX on discovery,  understanding and translating business and clients needs into product roadmap items and successfully launching new products or features internationally.

You will work closely with our leadership team and partner with Sales and Client Managers, in sales pitches and client conversations to help us win new business and launch products that move the needle.

Previous digital product owner or product manager experience is required, together with experience on scrum/agile teams in mobile or digital environments. Having an insurtech background would be a plus in this role but it is not required.

  • Own the roadmap for your products/features and work closely with the Head of Product and the leadership team to define the best direction for them.
  • Ensure your products meet market needs through interacting with the external market, competitors, client and prospect feedback
  • Tell the story of what you’re building, how you’ll get there, and why you’ll win to everyone within The Floow, to our prospects and customers.
  • Be the hub to collect, analyse and decide what to do with product requests or feedback.
  • Determine profitability of each product feature, based on building cost versus forecasted revenue, and write product briefs to support your proposals.
  • Provide your team with smart, iterative, audacious product goals and hold them accountable for reaching them each iteration.
  • Identify, define and prioritise product requirements and translate them into high-quality product features, services or components.
  • Partner with delivery and engineering teams to establish delivery timescales, and plan release schedules for all product features.
  • Create and validate user stories and acceptance criteria for all new work, ensuring the product delivers against the right client and consumer needs.
  • Ensure that the delivery teams deliver the specified work on time and on budget.
  • Measure the performance and impact of your products after release; document and incorporate learnings into future iterations of our products.
  • Build a strong relationship with sales, business development and relevant clients and constantly ask them for feedback.
  • Create product collateral, release notes, FAQs and presentations that can be leveraged by Marketing, Sales and Leadership teams.
  • Build trust, credibility and respect within the team.
  • Act with integrity and try to make others around you better.

Job requirements

  • A track record of releasing successful digital/mobile products.
  • Experience leading product driven Agile/Scrum development teams as well as a strong understanding of product development methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to manage products end-to-end, from ideation and discovery to delivery and measuring success.
  • Strong planning and execution skills and ability to drive things home.
  • Strong analytical skills to make data-driven decisions, define and measure product KPIs.
  • Entrepreneurial approach with clear bias for informed action and ability to perform with little supervision is highly desirable.
  • Experience with B2B products and understanding the difference between user and client needs would be a plus.
