International Telematics Organisation Expands Operations into North America

The Floow Hire Business Development Director As They Continue Global Growth

International telematics providers The Floow, who work on behalf of a range of leading insurers, have announced that they are continuing their global growth by expanding their operations to the United States and Canada.

The Floow, who already have staff based in Italy, France and Switzerland, have hired top industry expert Randolph Holmes to deliver The Floow’s services to insurers, road side assistance organisations and fleet managers across North America.

Randolph, who previously worked as the Vice President of Data Strategy at the US telematics organisation Vehcon, is tasked with growing The Floow’s operations in the North American region as well as supporting their current local client base.

Randolph, who will be based in Atlanta, Georgia, brings with him over 20 years’ experience in data analytics with a focus on driver and connected vehicle data. This includes positions as the Director of Business Development at the mobile technology firm Qualcomm Enterprise Services and as Project Leader at Hughes Telematics (now Verizon Telematics.)

Randolph, who graduated from Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, said: “I was very impressed with the vision and values of The Floow and their approach to the market.

“There is a strong demand for telematics in North America and Canada and I look forward to growing the business and building a team within these regions.”

The Floow was founded in 2012 by a team of telematics industry veterans, with the vision of making vehicles safer and cheaper for all.

Since inception The Floow has contributed to the radical transformation of telematics by developing bespoke methodology to assess driving behaviour, conducting large-scale analysis for improved claim predictions and spearheading the use of Smartphone applications to collect data as part of its device agnostic data management platform.

The Floow’s technology and telematics solutions are currently deployed in Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Asia and used by leading insurers, auto clubs, brokers and fleet organisations.

The Floow team consists of experts in the fields of Telematics, Computer science, Data mining, Driver Psychology, Automotive and User Experience Design.
