Today, Tech City UK launched their Tech Nation report on the UK’s growing digital economy – with The Floow highlighted as a standout company for the North of England!
The report shares details on the technology sectors of Sheffield and Rotherham, and how their core strengths are “built on expertise in data management & analytics and telecommunications & networking”. In recent years, South Yorkshire’s largest cluster has been “recognised by the UK Government” after it was one of three cities to share in the £11m in funding following the 2015 Budget. This funding has since been dedicated to building technology hubs all around the city.
The Floow were highlighted in the report for the Sheffield and Rotherham area, and our Chief Innovation Officer & Co-Founder Dr Sam Chapman described how we are “best known for delivering the world’s most advanced telematics data management solutions through device agnostic predictive analytics and digital end-user services, all with a view to making vehicles safer and cheaper for all.”
It was recognised how, since we began in 2012, The Floow has grown from a team of just 3 to more than 60 expert scientists, engineers, designers and support staff – and we’re still expanding. We’re currently undergoing a major recruitment drive, seeking new talent to join us in our Sheffield office. (Visit our Careers page for more info!)
Our success is driven in part by our location. In Sheffield, we have access to 2 universities renowned for their digital and scientific innovation. The City of Steel is also a growing hub of digital tech activity and so is well placed to support high-growth companies like The Floow.
