The Floow, one of the world’s fastest-growing telematics providers, has appointed Victoria Roberts as Director of Government Relations.
Victoria brings over a decade of policy experience spanning both the public and private sectors. She has previously worked within the UK Government and European Commission. Prior to her appointment at The Floow, Victoria provided strategic counsel on political and policy issues in a FTSE 100 insurer.
“It’s a really exciting time to join the company on its journey as it scales at speed internationally. The Floow is a terrific embodiment of how the energy and expertise of the Northern Powerhouse can drive future growth in a global Britain” commented Victoria.
“The commitment of colleagues to The Floow’s mission of ‘making mobility safer and smarter for everyone’ is contagious – it’s great to know that through our company’s work in data science and driver behaviour training we’re helping to prevent accidents and save lives – using technology for good” she added.
“As our company grows it’s right that we take an increasingly active role in the world around us – be it advocating the benefits telematics brings to road safety, shaping the future of transport through our knowledge of real-world mobility, or helping to build a common foundation of what it means to use data responsibly. Victoria is expertly placed to lead this given her prior experience and clear passion for our mission” said Aldo Monteforte, Chief Executive Officer at The Floow.
Victoria has a degree in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford and a Masters in European Studies jointly awarded by the University of Bath, Sciences-Po Paris and Humboldt University in Berlin.
Working with insurers and automotive manufacturers spanning five continents, The Floow is one of the fastest growing and most innovative telematics providers in the world. The Floow’s unique capabilities in technology and data science create a user-friendly telematics platform that helps people to drive more safely by providing them with insights into their behaviour behind the wheel and guidance on how to improve it. Actionable insights allow insurers, fleet companies and manufacturers to operate smarter and more efficiently by building products, services and programmes that increase driver engagement and reduce accidents.
