Managing Director: Client Development EMEA
Claire oversees all insurance client relationships and heads up an expanding team of account managers and business development directors. She ensures that as a company, we are delivering a world-class service to our clients in the UK, US, Europe and further afield.
With over 5 years’ experience working in the telematics arena, she joined The Floow in 2014. Her former roles include UK Business Development Manager at Octo, where she led their business development activities in the UK developing telematics solutions and proposals for several leading telematics insurance providers.
After spending 4 years at Hastings Direct where she implemented and delivered a variety of projects, including the company’s telematics motor insurance products, Claire led the Smartmiles project from value proposition inception, through product launch and operational process execution. As a result, she has a wealth of knowledge and experience in setting up telematics programmes.
In conjunction with The Floow’s Scientific Adviser Dr Lisa Dorn, Claire managed the implementation of the Dynamic Driver Improvement Programme, a unique telephone coaching programme for drivers perceived to be at risk of having an accident, and she is passionate about driver safety and providing education.
Claire is also a qualified Financial Advisor and Stockbroker and holds a degree in Psychology and English Literature.
There has been a number of great moments for Claire since joining The Floow but she is most proud of developing the FloowCoach programme with Dr Lisa Dorn and Direct Line. They took this totally new way of telephone coaching drivers from pilot to a fully formed service, in the knowledge that they were preventing accidents and possibly saving lives as a result. For Claire, it makes her feel like she have done something for the greater good – as well as delivering a great commercial outcome for her customer!
When Claire has some precious free time, it is usually spent with her family and friends, and her dogs and cats. Despite the amount of business travel she does, she enjoys travelling and visiting new places.
She’s an avid reader, a foodie who also enjoys a glass of wine or a G&T and she can sometimes be found on a bicycle. In July 2017, she completed the Prudential Ride London & Surrey 100 mile ride, raising over £1,500 for Kidney Research UK. It is her biggest sporting achievement (and biggest medal) to date!Connect with Claire on LinkedIn
